Congratulations! CCCP – Faithful to the 1984-2024 line

Felicitazioni!

A limited and numbered edition containing 18 historical songs by CCCP – Fedeli alla linea. Excerpts that are linked to the exhibition of the same name at the Cloisters of San Pietro in Reggio Emilia. An exhibition that celebrates 40 years of one of the most interesting musical experiences in the history of punk. Forty years have passed since the beginning of what later became history. Since then we have continued to write about CCCP – Fedeli alla Linea, their songs have been reinterpreted and expanded in the most disparate ways and in the most unexpected scenarios, documentaries and films, books, university theses, installations and exhibitions have been released. A couple of generations have followed one another and still, as then, "I don't study, I don't work, I don't watch TV, I don't go to the cinema, I don't play sports" and "Produce, Consume, Die" continue to be slogans for those who are struggling to enter the world.

The deluxe box includes two 180g vinyls, a CD, a 20-page booklet with the original sketches of the exhibition and live photos, 5 collector's pins, 5 postcards with unpublished images and 5 portraits of the great photographer Guido Harari taken at Palazzo Masdoni, historic headquarters of the PCI of Reggio Emilia.

CCCP Fedeli alla linea

The CCCP exhibition at Palazzo Magnani Reggio Emilia

the exhibition, promoted and organized by the Palazzo Magnani Foundation and the Municipality of Reggio Emilia, will take place from 12 October 2023 to 11 February 2024 at the Cloisters of San Pietro and will retrace its entire history. A story that intercepted some of the most characteristic names of the 80s, from Pier Vittorio Tondelli to Luigi Ghirri to Amanda Lear. A journey that through the chaotic rigor of CCCP – Fedeli alla Linea will lead the visitor to discover the records published by the group (and their gestation), the story of the world that surrounded them and which inspired them and then the universes generated through the sounds, the texts, clothes and performances created. The chronological story will also leave room for immersive settings to reconstruct, through sound installations, videos, words and images, the current nature of being CCCP, the daily experiences of the various creative phases, the experiments and concerts. The exhibition will project the visitor into an unlimited human space, connecting East and West Berlin, Europe's frontiers, Beirut, the Arab world, the USSR and satellite countries, China, Hong Kong, Mongolia, Kabul, Palestine , Israel, Moscow, Leningrad and rapidly transforming those places into peripheries and centers of a single mental empire.
