In the quiet town of Casella in the Ligurian hinterland, every year a festival is held that brings together the entire community. It is an event as long-awaited as it is memorable, in which the rural roots and generous hospitality that characterize those places were celebrated. The festival begins at dawn, with the festive ringing of bells awakening the village. The streets soon come alive with colorful stalls selling typical local products: mature cheeses, freshly baked bread, homemade jams and traditional desserts that taste of history and family. The children, impatient and curious, run among the stalls, attracted by the bright decorations and sweet culinary temptations. Meanwhile, in the large lawn next to the church, traditional competitions took place. Farmers proud of their animals presented the best breeds of cows, sheep and pigs, each hoping to win the prize for the best specimen.
